Away I Go

I'm heading to Reno for a long weekend to attend a Peter Wingfield Fan Club gathering. It's not Toronto and LCA like I'd hoped it would be this weekend, but it's a pretty good consolation prize!

Good People

I've been online a long time, and met some wonderful people. Heck, I even got April, who for all intents and purposes is like a sister to me, out of an email list. Not to mention some of the best friends I've ever had. I think there's no way I can get even more wonderful things from the internet, but I would be wrong!

I've been fighting with Moveable Type, trying to get it to work for this blog, and one of these days, for my others. But I hit a brick wall with a resounding thud! Enter Rachel the MT Goddess of Texas! I met Rachel through her blog -- and a hell of a blog it is -- and we've interacted through her comments section and through email. But the last few days, she's been frelling amazing. She's been trying to help me figure MT out, even recoding my existing template so I can use it. Just because she likes to help. She doesn't know me, but she's putting in a ton of work to help me out. Isn't that something great, especially these days? Rachel goes to college, runs her own business, and a household, but she takes time out of a very busy life to help a stranger.

I've thanked her in email, of course, but it deserves its own blog post, so I can share one of the bright spots in my life with all of you. Thank you, Rachel! You're the best!

Things

Not too much to report. I got my hair cut Saturday, very, very short. Spent too much money on the Aveda produtcs at the salon, and then totally blew my budget at the mall. But I do have a nice new sheer black shirt for my trip to Reno this weekend! Tonight, I need to make a stop at VS for suitable undergarments to wear with said shirt.

I'm sleepy, I want to go home, and I'm hungry.

Drat! Forgot to order the Ennis Sisters concert tickets again! Maybe I should take it as a sign not to go....
